Offering an unbeatable blend of cosiness and modernity – as well as a great location – the Royal British Hotel is an Edinburgh institution. Though it isn't that big a property, the guestrooms' high ceilings lend them a great feeling of light and space. And there’s no better way to start a day in Edinburgh than with the wonderful views from the breakfast room.

Triples can be either a double & single bed, or 3 separate beds. 8 smoking rooms are available on a request basis only. Please note lifts are from reception to bedrooms, there is a flight of stairs from street level to reception.

     Ask for a room at the back of the hotel if you are a light sleeper....             bathroom sink leaked ...              toilet did not flush properly...             Bathroom was not as clean as I would expect ...             Comfortable...             noise level coming from outside was unacceptable...              reasonably clean ...             bathroom freezing and grotty...             Noise outside the hotel was awful but i suppose only to be expected ...             Rooms were warm and comfortable ...             furniture and decor requires updating ...             Dust lay thick ,the rooms looked and felt dirty...             nice room ...             the only downside was the dirt in the room...             room was very spacious...             Our family room did have some early morning noise with bins being collected. ...
